Wasgamuwa National Park is located in central province where you could see elephants in their natural habitats. Also it is known for large herds of Elephants. Furthermore Wasgamuwa National Park is one of the most important bird sanctuaries in Sri Lanka. In addition to the elephants there are of course to see monkeys, sloth bear, numerous species of birds and wildlife. Leopards, however, are unfortunately rare to spot.
