Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary
Kalametiya is a coastal wetland in Hambanthota, Southern province. It has a rich biodiversity. The marsh is covered with mangroves, scrub jungles and open grassy areas. 150 species of birds, including migratory birds, ducks, fishes and aquatic birds such as spoonbills, stork and heron, can be seen as the chief attraction in the location.
