Yala National Park is on of the best places in the world to experience the Asian wildlife such as leopards, elephants, bears, deer and hundreds of other species specific to tropical wilderness. Being located in the dry zone of Sri Lanka bordering the South-Eastern coast, surrounded by lots of lagoons; Yala National Park is also a very popular destination for hundreds of migrant bird species as well.

Bird Watching
Yala is a popular destination among bird watchers as it hosts hundreds of endemic and migrant birds. Various types of forests, scrubs, grasslands, tanks and lagoons provide perfect atmospheres for birds. We will provide binoculars, Birds’ book and professional guidance throughout the tour.


Leapord Watching
Yala holds the record for the most number of leopards in one area in the world. The Sri Lankan Leopard (Panthera pardus kotiya) is a sub species of the leopard (Panthera pardus) found in the sub-Saharan Africa, in some parts of Western and Central Asia, Southern Russia, and on the Indian subcontinent to Southeast and East Asia


Elephant Watching
Sri Lanka is world famous for this majestic giants. In Yala you will find elephants in large herds roaming in the wilderness. Yala is home to around 400 elephants which is one of the largest elephant habitats in Sri Lanka.


Bear Watching
The Sri Lankan Sloth Bear is a sub species endemic to Sri Lanka. If you are willing to dedicate some time and effort, you will get a chance to catch a glimpse of this creature.


Air Rifle Range
Put your precision aiming to the test in safe environments. Back in the early 1900 colonial era, this area was a popular for hunting. Today we have given the wildlife their freedom back and aiming at tin cans instead.


Temple In Yala
Yala is not only a wildlife sanctuary, but also a historical site of ancient ruins. There are several ancient stupas and Buddhist temples inside the Yala National Park you can visit.


Bush Walk
Go for a walk in the buffer zone of Yala National Park. You are not allowed to get off from the vehicle inside the park except for the designated areas. But we’ll arrange you a safe bushwalk in the buffer zone where you can experience the wildlife in relative safety.

Mountain Hiking
If you are a hiker, there are several landmarks and trails you can go hiking or trekking. A mini hike of a couple of hours or a full day hike; Yala has it all.

Beach Walk
Yala is bordering the south eastern beach of Sri Lanka. Located within the borders of the Yala National Park, it does not allow any watersports or camping activity. But the beach is scenic and mostly empty.
