The Wilpattu National Park attracts visitors throughout the year which has been the largest protected reserve in Sri Lanka (131656ha). Wilpattu National Park is world-renowned for its leopard (Panthera pardus kotiya) population and numerous wildlife comprising the Sri Lankan Elephant, Sloth bear, Buffalo and Crocodile including a variety of endemic and migrant birds species.

Luxury Tented Chalets
Thamaravila Wilpattu hosts a collection of 5 luxury tented Chalets of 1000sqft each built on stilts, featuring natural thatched roofs and open-air wooden decks with serene views of nature and wildlife. The Suite Chalets are recommended for a maximum of 4 pax (with kids) and the Deluxe Chalets are recommended for 3 pax (with kids).

Each Chalet is offered on an “All Inclusive with Game Drive” basis and contains all luxury amenities such as hot water; air conditioning and complimentary WIFI, complete with a spacious living room, bedroom, and a luxurious bathroom featuring a hot-tub, outdoor shower and deck that seamless blend with nature.

The exteriors are designed to blend with the jungle whilst the interiors take on a safari theme combined with contemporary comfort and convenience. Each chalet is equipped with a plus king-size bed, wooden flooring and luxury in-room amenities offering a luxury experience

Thamaravila Wilpattu offers a range of bespoke dining options with cuisines ranging from traditional Sri Lankan cuisine to international cuisine depending on guest preference. Guests can opt for a hearty morning breakfast with a mix of continental, English and eastern breakfast. Authentic Sri Lankan rice and curry served on traditional clay pots and the banana leaf which enhances the flavor of the meal is featured through an A-la-carte menu for lunch. Providing guests with a unique glamping experience, guests could enjoy campfire BBQ or five-course meal for dinner under the dazzling stars surrounded by the jungle as desired.
