Yala National Park

Yala National Park, the most visited and the second largest national park is located in the south eastern region of Sri Lanka. Its 6-7 hour drive from Colombo. Yala was declared as a national park in the year 1938. This house for wild life such as elephants, leopards Sri Lankan sloth bear, wild buffalo, spotted deer, crocodile & various species of birds etc. The park consists of five blocks, of which two of them are open to the public. Ruhuna National Park is one of them which is called ‘block 1’ is adjoined with the eastern border of the park which we call ‘Kumana National Park’.
