Kanneliya is a tropical rain forest consisting of two sub forests, Dediyagala and Nakiyadeniya, which was famed as a biosphere in 2004 by UNESCO—situated in Galle district in Southern province. Kanneliya is a showplace with dazzling natural majesty with small waterfalls, natural water pools, and the Gin river. Mainly the place is created up of tree layers and thick forest canopies. As the fauna community, the explorers can visit frogs, Sri Lankan junglefowl as endemic birds, various types of lizards, endemic butterflies and leopards.
