Wasgamuwa National Park in Sri Lanka

 
Wasgamuwa National Park lies between Central and North Central provinces that can be visited during the months from November to May. The park is one of the spots that exhibit the highest biodiversity. Here, Sri Lankan elephants, the main highlights of the park, monkeys, water buffaloes, sloth bears, leopards also can be seen. A rare endemic mammal can be visited among the fauna species, the small golden palm civet. Furthermore, 143 species, including jungle fowls, Chestnut-winged cuckoo, and Sri Lanka spurfowl, gives an eye-catching bird scenario to birdwatching lovers.
